Workshops and seminars

In addition to seeing clients one-to-one, I deliver workshops and seminars, mostly in the Greater Manchester area and North of England.  This ranges from one hour seminars on specific nutrition related topics to half day workshops.  Audiences have ranged from small groups to over a hundred, and events included staff development days, national training events and local health support group meetings.  Seminars and workshops have proved very popular with attendees and many organisations have asked me back for regular events.  See what attendees said below.

Healthy eating and the workplace

Many employers realise that the health of their workforce is an important asset, as healthy employees have less time off and are more productive.  A good diet is a crucial factor in determining someone's health and education plays an important role in changing eating habits.

·        Workshops usually last 2 hours and cover general healthy eating with a focus on boosting energy and dealing with stress.  I also hold workshops more specifically aimed at parents and carers on healthy eating for children.

·        Seminars usually last 45 min plus 15 min for questions and answers.  Popular topics are How to Beat Stress and Boost Energy and Balancing Hormones Naturally.  For more topics see below.

·        I have also recently developed a weight loss workshop.  This is a half day workshop which aims to help attendees change their eating habits for good to lose weight and gain vitality.

I am also happy to deliver shorter or longer presentations and to discuss particular topics with you.  Fees start from £95 for a 1 hour talk with discounts available for charities.  Please contact me for further information.

Topics and contents of workshops

Healthy Eating for Vitality and Wellbeing
Most of us realise that a good diet is important for our health.  But what exaclty is the „healthy balanced diet“ that we should be eating? This workshop covers some basic rules for healthy eating with a particular focus on boosting energy and dealing with stress.  There will also be very practical tips on how to make it a reality without too much effort.
Duration:       2 hours

Healthy Food for Healthy Kids

This workshop will inform you what foods/nutrients are important for children and which ones are best avoided or reduced.  It will help you understand food labels and lead you through the supermarket and marketing jungle. And most of all: it will give you many practical ideas and tips from breakfast to healthy lunch boxes and snacks.
Duration:       2 hours

Healthy Eating for Weight Loss and Vitality
Many calorie reduced diets can help you lose weight, but maintaining that lower weight can be difficult: as soon as you stop the diet, the lost pounds pile back on faster than you lost them and you might end up with more weight than you started with.  This can lead to yoyo dieting which is not only frustrating but also unhealthy, and can make it more and more difficult to maintain a healthy weight. The aim of this half day workshop is to help you to change your eating habits for good by teaching you some simple rules about healthy eating.  Eating the right foods can not only help you lose weight but also increase your energy levels and make you feel better overall.
Duration:       3 hours
