Optimum Health

Optimum health is more than just the absence of disease or ill health.  It is a state of profound wellbeing, physical, mental and emotional.

Many diseases are linked, at least in part, to poor nutrition.  In order for our bodies and minds to function optimally we have to provide them with the correct nutrients.  Just as we choose the correct type of fuel for our cars, we should choose the best fuel for our bodies.  Most of us realise that a “good diet” is important for our health.  But just what is a “good diet”?

Nutritional therapy is much more than just giving advice on a “good diet”.  We all have individual requirements for nutrients, based on our genetic make-up, our environment and our lifestyles.  The nutritional therapist works closely with the individual, to establish these requirements, and to identify and correct biochemical imbalances in our bodies which may lead to ill health.  A personal tailor-made programme is devised, to enable the person to achieve and maintain optimum health.

Who could benefit from nutritional therapy?

If you suffer from any of the following, you may benefit from nutritional therapy:

  • Allergies, asthma, hay fever, eczema
  • Arthritis, aching joints
  • Frequent colds and infections
  • Headaches or migraines
  • Irritable bowel syndrome and other digestive disorders
  • Lack of energy or persistent fatigue
  • Mood swings, anxiety or insomnia
  • PMS and other hormone imbalances
  • Poor concentration or poor memory
  • Skin conditions, including acne
  • Weight control

This list is far from complete.  But you don’t have to be ill to benefit from nutritional therapy.  Being optimally nourished can help

  • Increase your energy levels
  • Enhance your physical and mental performance
  • Boost your immunity
  • Decrease your risk of getting cancer, heart disease, diabetes and other chronic illnesses.
