Nutritional Therapy

Helping you feel better and

maximise your physical and mental performance.

Nutritional therapy for optimum health

Optimum health is more than just the absence of disease or ill health.  It is a state of profound wellbeing, physical, mental and emotional.  Many diseases are linked, at least in part, to poor nutrition.  In order for our bodies and minds to function optimally we have to provide them with the correct nutrients.  Most of us realise that a “good diet” is important for our health.  But what is a “good diet”?

Nutritional therapy is much more than just giving general advice on healthy eating.  We all have individual requirements for nutrients, based on our genetic make-up, our environment and our lifestyles.  The nutritional therapist works closely with the individual, to establish these requirements, and to identify and correct biochemical imbalances in our bodies which may lead to ill health.  A personal tailor-made programme is devised, to enable the person to achieve and maintain optimum health.

Who could benefit from nutritional therapy?

If you suffer from any of the following, you may benefit from nutritional therapy:

·        Digestive disorders including bloating, constipation, irritable bowel syndrome, (IBS), inflammatory bowel disease

·        Hormonal imbalances such as polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), endometriosis, fibroids, premenstrual syndrome (PMS), menopausal symptoms

·        Lack of energy, persistent fatigue, stress, poor concentration and memory

·        Allergies such as, asthma, hay fever, eczema/dermatitis

·        Arthritis, aching joints, fibromyalgia

·        Headaches and migraines

·        Frequent colds and infections, poor immunity

·        Mental health disorders including mood swings, depression, anxiety, insomnia

·        Skin conditions such as acne, eczema

·        Weight control problems, both difficulty losing weight and gaining weight

This list is far from complete.  But you don’t have to be ill to benefit from nutritional therapy.  Being optimally nourished can help you increase your energy levels, enhance your physical and mental performance, boost your immunity and decrease your risk of getting cancer, heart disease, diabetes and other chronic illnesses.
