What does a one-to-one consultation involve?
The initial step involves completing and returning a detailed questionnaire about your current
health, lifestyle and diet. It also includes a short food diary. The information
this provides enables a thorough assessment of your nutritional status.
The first consultation lasts about 1½ hours, during which time I take a thorough
medical, dietary and lifestyle history. We discuss any health issues you may have and prepare a nutritional
programme to meet your individual needs and circumstances. Follow-up consultations usually take place after 4 and 12
weeks to review progress and fine-tune the programme. In between consultations, support and advice is available
via telephone and e-mail.
The nutritional
programme usually includes advice on dietary and lifestyle changes, and an individual, taylor made supplements programme.
Further diagnostic tests may also be suggested as appropriate, to investigate biochemical imbalances which may contribute
to ill health. Please contact me if you would like to find out more about which diagnostic tests I use and in which circumstances they may be helpful.
I currently run
clinics in Stalybridge, Cheshire and in Mossley, Lancashire. Clinic times are Thursdays and Fridays, with daytime and evening appointments.
I can also see clients on Saturday mornings if these times are unsuitable. Telephone
consultations can be arranged, although a face-to-face discussion is preferable, especially for the first consultation.
